Screen

The 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR display of this iPhone has Ceramic Shield protection for added strength. The OLED panel has the same characteristics as that of the iPhone 12 mini, except for the standard maximum brightness which is now 800 cd / m². We therefore find an HDR screen with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 px at 476 ppi, a contrast of 2,000,000: 1, the True Tone display and the wide range of P3 colors.

Camera

This iPhone shares the same photographic block as the iPhone 13, which has been redesigned for the release of this range. Thus, the wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses are now arranged diagonally. The notable addition of this generation is Cinematic mode in 1080p at 30 fps. In addition, the smartphone offers an optical zoom range of 2x and HDR video recording with Dolby Vision up to 4K at 60 fps.

Processor

The 15th generation smartphone’s A15 Bionic chip features a hexa-core processor with 2 cores allocated for performance and 4 cores for high power efficiency.

To this are added a 4-core GPU and the 16-core Neural Engine.

Connectivity

Like the previous generation, the iPhone 13 mini is compatible with 5G, but also with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

Sensors

The iPhone 13 mini relies on a host of sensors, including the three-axis gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and barometer. The TrueDepth camera serves as the facial recognition function. It is this which allows, among other things, to unlock the smartphone using Face ID technology.

Design

Like the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 mini has matte aluminum edges and a glass back. It is available in Starlight, Midnight, Blue, Pink and PRODUCT (RED) colourways.

Notably, the notch of Apple smartphones in this range is 20% smaller than that of previous generation models.

Storage

IPhone 13 mini is available with the following storage options: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.

We note that Apple says goodbye to the 64 GB option, often considered insufficient for an iPhone, and thus doubles its basic storage option.

Drums

This iPhone offers up to 17 hours of video playback time and up to 13 hours of video streaming. It is therefore quite suitable for a full day in normal use.

Accessibility

IPhones are optimized to be suitable for people with disabilities and offer suitable settings for people with visual, hearing or motor impairments.

Weight and dimensions

For a total weight of 140g, the iPhone 13 mini measures 131.5mm in height and 64.2mm in width. The 7.65mm thickness is the same for all iPhones of this generation.

Operating system

It is iOS 15 which is preinstalled on the iPhone 13 mini when it is released.

Accessories

Thanks to its integrated magnetic device, this iPhone is compatible with all MagSafe magnetic accessories, including induction chargers, but also wireless batteries or cases.

Its Lightning port also makes it compatible with all types of devices suitable for this connector: cables, wired headphones, etc.
